It's actually bad for your brain and strains your eyes. It's bad to use another's glasses. So I'd imagine that would double your prescription and it would be like wearing another's glasses.

yeah. You wouldn't see clearly either. I've tried before, lol, and it made my head hurt really bad, and it was SUPER blurry.

yes
and you prob wont be able to see

Um it probably would, I wear glasses and contacts but not at the same time.
I wouldn't do it if I were you.

i doubt it..not sure though!

Yeah, it will give you a major headache and mess up your vision gradually because you are wearing DOUBLE your perscpription. Pick one or the other, but don't wear both because they can mess up your eyesight.

no.....not short term, but it could in the long run. What do you mean like, reading glasses or something like that??? If its reading glasses that won't hurt your eyes. Maybe you need to go back to the Optomitrist for an exam....

yes,
is this even a question, it also adds an multiplier effect which will increase the focus.

I've heard it's reaaaally not a good idea to do that. I once asked my friend to put on his glasses to show me what he looked like, but he said he couldn't because he had his contacts in at the time and that his doctor told him that this could cause damage.

Yes it would because the precriptions would not be exactly the same. They would definitely cause a seeing conflict.

It depends on if the glasses are for eye protection and have no vision correction or are prescription and you are wearing them without a doctors approval. You will probably just cause eye strain and headaches unless the combination is just what you need to correct vision. Some people do have to wear both.

You don't want to wear two prescriptions at the same time. You could wear contact lenses for colour, and prescription glasses, or fashion glasses with prescription lenses.

I am guessing that you are wanting to wear colored contacts with your glasses, if so, all you have to do is buy a box of non- prescription colored contacts, problem solved.

yup! it would make your eyes go worse waayyyy faster. UNLESS your contacts arent prescription like colored ones then you can wear them! but otherwise...dont try it! lol :D

Obviousely it is best to check with the doctor. But if everyone on this sight say's that with perfect vision (20/20) it does not damage (althought being silly) your eyes if you wear prescription glasses. So how would it be different than contacts bringing your eyes to 20/20 and the glasses would be the "silly extra pair"?

I know several people who are nearsighted and only wear contacts to correct distance vision and reading glasses over their contacts for near work. Them are presbyopic and just do not want to use bi-focals. There is no harm done when doing that.

My friend's mother had very different prescriptions in each eye so she wore a contact lens in the eye with the higher prescription and glasses with about the same prescription in each eye over it to reduce the magnification/minification effects.

If the vision correction you need requires you to wear glasses over contacts and that was prescribed by your eye doctor, then you will be ok. If not then you could be doing harm to your vision.

Depends on the glasses. If you wear contacts for myopia and put on reading glasses over that it will actually be quite comfortable :) But if you put nearsighted glasses over nearsighted contacts its the same as having glasses that are super overcorrected. Although many doctors will assure you it won't worsen your vision; there is evidence that says otherwise. Just to be safe its better not to do it. I've heard stories of people worsening their sight because of trying that kind of stuff.
