First off, If lifeislove doesn't know then why did you answer? I'm sure that was wealth of info for this person. Sorry, that annoys me.

Some manufacturers of prescription eyewear also make lines of non-prescription sunglasses. Most of them are perfectly acceptable to make lenses for. The only problem would be the frame you actually have. If it is a good frame, like Carrera or Rayban, then it's very likely. Take them in and see. Some non-rx sunglass frames are not compatible with prescription lenses and if they break on you you could be stuck with an expensive pair of lenses if you cannot get another frame to replace it. Any good optician will tell you whether it can be done. I would stay away from Lenscrafters types. They are less willing to help with that then an independent optical. They would rather sell you the complete pair.

why would i know?

They should be able to if they are not too large and the sunglass is of adequate quality - just go and ask them, they will be happy to help
