Can overexposure to sunlight affect a persons vision?!

Question: I am far-sighted and becoming more so. A friend told me this issue is probably caused by me not wearing sunglasses. Could this be true? I live in Florida where there is sunshine most of the time.

Longsightedness is completely unrelated to sun exposure. It can however cause pterygia, cataracts, macular degeneration and other conditions.

it can cause glaucoma, cataracts, and other serous eye conditions.

Well I have no Idea what you have, but you are not the only one...I have like these big pretty forest green eyes, but when summer hit the are like so ugly and red. The moment the suns comes out, it likes hurts me, as if I was a vampire, and I get something like pink eye effect. I was told by mt doc to wear very dark sun glasses, and it was astigmatism. Well good luck and hopefully you'll find a cure.
