Can my GP check the health of my eyes or should i go to an optometrist?!

Question: Can my GP check the health of my eyes or should i go to an optometrist!?
Answers:
The optometrist has all the latest equipment and expertise for an eye examination!.

Your GP is a general practitioner, but is not a specialist!. So I guess the one with the most knowledge etc, has to be the optometrist!.

Optometrist!. They have the necessary specialized equipment, which most GP's do not have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your g!.p!. first then the opticians unless you only require an eye testWww@Answer-Health@Com

The optometrist is the best way!. The GP will have some rudimentary knowledge, and is probably the best option if you suspect your problem/query is linked to another medical condition, but if not then why not go straight to the specialist who deals with eyes everyday!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A routine eye check is probably most appropriately carried out by an optician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

An optometrist will be betterWww@Answer-Health@Com
