I actually just had it done today! It does hurt a bit, some people actually feel no pain!. You would be more comfortable if you opt for the valium, which I wasn't offered because I wasn't nervous when they took my bp and stuff!. I was told that the numbing eye drops wore off on me super fast!. The only part that kinda hurts, more of an uncomfortable feeling than give me morphine type of pain, is when they put the metal eye opener instrument in and when they put a suction cup type thing over your eyes!. But, it only lasts less than about 30 seconds on each eye!. It's definitely well worth it!. It's been 8 hours since I've had it done and I can see great!. Only a bit of discomfort on one eye because a blood vessel popped from the suction (which is common), but you can't see it since it's under the lid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The safest option and the best for your eyes is glasses!. Glasses are comfortable, trendy and correct your eyesight extremely well!. If I were you, I'd stick with glasses!.
There is also the choice of contact lens!.
Again, though, it is really your choice!.
You should check with your optometrist/opthamologist about all the side effects of laser surgery!.
