If you were prescribed glasses, then you probably need them!. It is not something you can easily fake!. It is however your choice when to wear your glasses or not and it does not matter what anyone else thinks about it!. It does not matter if the people at school believe you or not!. It is about whether you can see well enough to do the tasks you need to do!.

If you have trouble seeing objects in the distance, then wear them when you need to see distance such as going to the movies or reading the board in class!. If you need them to see near objects, then wear them when you are reading a book or using the computer!. If you feel that you need them at all time, then wear them all the time!.

I was prescribed glasses as teenager and I think I tried them on a few times and that was the extent of it because they gave me headaches!. The vision in my right eye was normal and my left eye had trouble seeing distance objects due to astigmatism!. My parents did not force me to wear the glasses!. They knew I was not faking it but also knew that I could see well enough to what I needed to such as reading the board in class or driving!. My right eye could see distance objects fine even though my left eye had trouble with them!. I know my mom got a little nervous when I first started driving though, but we both made it through it!.

I did not start correcting the vision in my left eye until several years later when it started becoming harder for my right eye to compensate for my weaker left eye!. It was at that point that I decided I needed to correct my vision even though my doctor said I needed to years earlier!.

You will know when that point comes for you!. You know you need the glasses so you can see better!. It is just a matter of what you choose to do about it!.

If you think they help then wear them!. Don't listen to what other people think!. And, if your mother doesn't believe you, insist to her that you need your eyes checked and that will prove one of your right!. Besides, if you feel your eyes aren't as clear as they were they should be checked anyway, there could be something serious forming!.

It took me awhile to get my mother to get my eyes checked!. I was 16 and in math class!. I used to sit in the back of the room but I had to ask to be moved to the very front row because I could no longer read the black board from the back!. So, about 2 months later and a lot of whining about my math class to my mother, she took me for the exam and I now wear glasses every hour that I am awake!.

Don't worry about the people at school, if you need them to see then they'll just have to get used to you wearing them!. Plus, if they try to avoid you because of them, then they weren't really your friends anyway!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

who cares what any1 thinks!?!?

well did your mum go to the opticians with you if not maybe you should take her in with you next time so the optician can tell her you do need them, if you do need them wear them as your eye are important and deteriation can happen if you don't!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If she was with you at the doctor, then she would have heard that you need glasses straight from him/her!. If she didn't think you needed them then who paid for them!? I assume you are a minor and you didn't buy these yourself!. Wear them if you feel better with them on!. Obviously you notice a difference in your visual comfort and ultimately that's all that matters!. You would think she would be glad you are wearing them after paying for them!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
