Answers:
Wavefront (makes a map of your eye) is Intralase (bladeless) and VISX is the machine used!. All of those are what CustomVue lasik is!. CustomVue has the best results because it with the use of the wavefront, which helps correct any glare and halos!. There are other types of lasik like conventional lasik and PRK!. A lot of problems people have with conventional lasik (which is 1/2 the cost of CustomVue) is that they have glare and halo problems after!. I really don't know about PRK, I think its mainly for people who are not a candidate for regular lasik!. My understanding is that PRK is quite safe still, but instead of cutting a flap like CustomVue or convential, it burns a layer of the eye lense!. If you go for a consultation, they will say which one best suits you!. But, CustomVue is a lot better than conventional lasik hands down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I really dont know, infact im 14 =) but it seems PRK surgery is one of the best ones!. It has a longer recovery time but doesent make a flap on your eye like lasic does!. But if you have a desk job I think lasic is the way to goWww@Answer-Health@Com

I was considering going for lasik too but recenly read in the paper that in US they are relooking into the whole procedure of lasik again as lately there are reports of complications and side effects!. Thought I might share it with you, but please check truth of details again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wavefront and epi-lasik!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Several factors:
1!. The more expensive the better the result is definitely not true!.

2!. Doctor managed clinic is by far much more reliable than businessman back up centres where commercial interest may out weight patients' interest!.

3!. No such thing as the latest technology, as you can made in your car for the latest model, but not your eyes!. Commercial clinics are forever updating their equipment!. Are you prepared to made in your eyes when the current technology is "out of date"!.Your aim is to focus on a technology with the best track record cases after cases!. Latest technology may also be using you as a guinea pig!.

4!. As we beginning to forget that we go to a clinic to see a doctor for treatment and not a salesgirl or businessman standing there with the logo "latest technology" and "best package"!?

5!.Doctors' ethic, counselling skills and experience are equally important!.
