Question: Is anyone an optometrist here!?

You will get better answers by interviewing a local optometrist!. Optometrists are licensed by province or state and how they work, what they do and what is required varies by location!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, I'm just 16 but I have an interest in this field like you too!. You should try to ask your Optometrist in your and their free time!.
