My eye is extremely itchy?!
Question: My eye is extremely itchy!?
It does not hurt, and it isn't even red, but that little pink thing in the corner of my eye by my nose is kind of swollen, and whenever it gets swollen, it gets itchy!. I woke up in the middle of the night, and it was itching, and i flushed it with water, and it didn't help, I took allergie medicine, hoping it was swollen from allergies, and I took a nap, hoping it would get better!. I even cried! hoping that would run any irrirants out of my eyes, or wet them if they were too dry!. None of this helped!. What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Often it is because the tear ducts are dry and they cause your eyes to feel itchy - gritty, etc!. The eye doctor recommends putting moisture back in your eyes - lots of drops!. If it worsens they can give you a prescription for it - my Mom had plugs put in her eye and that has helped quite a bit!.
