Question: I think i tore my cornea!?
so last night i took out my contacts like always!. when i took out the left one it hurt and then it felt like there was something in my eye!. However, after great efforts nothing came out and my eye still hurt when i went to bed!. Now it is morning and i can still feel it!. it is somewhat painful and very irritating!. I think i may have scratched my cornea!. is that a good assumption!? tell me what you think this could be!.

and i checked my contacts!.
they are fully intact!.
i was even able to put them in this morning and felt little discomfort in the pained eye!. But after about 5 minuets it started to hurt more so i took them out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lol OK firstly I highly doubt that you 'tore' your cornea as you would barely be able to see now but what is likely is that you may have had some sort of foreign body embedded under your lens yesterday that caused an abrasion (scratching of the cornea)!. Either that or if you have long nails, that may have scratched your cornea in the process of removal!.
I advise you visit your local optometrist and he will put an orange die in your eye called fluorescein and check with a lamp emitting blue light that will highlight the problem!. If severe he may administer you with drops that will heal the issue!. In the mean time do not wear contact lenses at all as it is important that your cornea receives full oxygen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may have scratched your eye, but you need to go to an eye doctor to be certain!. Call your eye doc and see what they think, they might just suggest using over the counter eye drops since eyes tend to heal pretty fast!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
