i actually really wouldn't recommend contacts for children under the age of 12
they are a big responsibility and it can take a while for a child to get used to putting something in their eyes!.
i would say try glasses for just a few years!. if your worried about your child getting made fun of then don't!. i had glasses until i was fifteen and as long as you don't get ridiculously ugly glasses the child should be fine!.!.

Talk to your eye doctor, firstly!. I personally would recommend daily contacts, as there would be no hassle in cleaning them (you throw them out after one use and get a new pair every day)!. The brands of contacts are all pretty similar, and that should be up to the optometrist to figure that out!.

I would speak to ur optician, you get so many different kinds of contacts now including ones specially for youngsters!. Don't listen to that other poster!.!.!.!.contacts can't damage ur eyes and make eyesight worse even in children!. Contacts can actually help to slow further deterioration of sight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best ones for kids are the daily disposable ones which are soft on the eyes and don't need cleaning as they are thrown out after use!. I know a few kids who have worn daily disposable contacts as young as 10Www@Answer-Health@Com
