Question: Best Brand of Contact Lenses for Astigmatism!?
What is the best brand of contact lenses for an astigmatism!? I currently use Acuvue with (I think it's called) toric!. I find them very uncomfortable!. It easily gets dry and I find them sometimes painful!. I get sharp pains and it hurts to wear them!. Also, I find that they CONSTANTLY get out of focus and I have to blink rapidly or very hard (which always smudges my mascara) to be able to see clearly through them!.
Does anyone know of a good brand I could try for my astigmatism!?

The unfortunate thing is that contact lenses totally vary based on the wearer!. There is no brand that is "better" than any other; it just depends on which one works best for you!. The only thing you can really do is go to your eye doctor and tell him/her that you want to try different kinds!. They can get you trials (singles) to sample and then you can tell them which ones you want to order!. Basically, astigmatic contact lenses have to sit in exactly the right position on your eye (they have tiny little weights in them to keep the bottom at the bottom), so any time they turn your vision will get blurry!. If they don't exactly fit right, they will turn all the time and drive you crazy!.
When they do turn, blinking generally straightens them out!. Because of that you might have to blink occasionally with any contacts, so you might not ever be able to escape that entirely!. But blinking hard like you said isn't really normal!. It's highly likely that there is a better kind for you!. Personally, I wear Purevision toric and when I started wearing these, I was amazed at how I could actually see! But there are plently of other brands AND shapes!. Acuvue toric lenses have been around for a long time so I bet there are new and improved lenses that you could benefit from!.

The brand you were fitted with obviously isn't the right one for you!.
Your optician or optometrist will have to do trial fittings on you to find the best one for you!.
It doesn't matter how many answers you get about the best brand!.!.!.there is no such thing!.!.!.
There are several brands , and are all good, but not for everyone!.
The best for one could be the worst for another!.

Maybe the firring is not as good!. Can try out purevision toric and soflens toric!. they have unifit function and is suitable for all eye type!. It has a stable vision throughout the dayWww@Answer-Health@Com
