Answers:
Yes, they are spectacles with "prisms" incorporated!. The power of the "prisms" is dependent on the degree of strabismus (crossed eyes)!.

You will need to consult an optometrist/ orthoptist to measure the power of prisms required!.

Some points for consideration:
1) A full correction may induce double vision! (Suppressed image is moved out of the suppresion area) And that can be VERY annoying!. You will see EVERYTHING in double mode!. Your optometrist may chose to do a partial correction!.

2) The lenses may look thicker on one side of the spectacle frame!.!.!. may not be cosmetic appealing

3) Consider tinting your lenses to make the strabismus less obvious!.

Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

There is!. When I was younger, I had a friend that was cross eyed!. She had thick glasses that straightened her eyes!. I'm sure they're thinner now!. When she would be talking to me without her glasses on, I'd always think she was looking somewhere else! I'd always say, Who are you looking at!? and she'd yell, you ya idiot!

Here's what I found: What role does surgery play in accommodative esotropia!?

Surgery is only indicated if the eyeglasses fail to straighten the eyes adequately while the glasses are on!. In this case, eye muscle surgery (strabismus surgery) may be recommended to further help improve the alignment of the eyes!. In general, surgery for refractive esotropia does not eliminate the need for glasses but rather fixes the amount of crossing that is
