New unopened contacts - what is the liquid in the cases?!

Question: New unopened contacts - what is the liquid in the cases!?
Are they saline or disinfecting solution!? Is there a need to rinse them in solution before using them when they're first opened!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Contact lenses are manufactured in a totally sterile environment!. This means there is no possibility of an infectious agent being present in the solution in which the lens is stored!. For that reason, there is no need to place any chemicals such as disinfecting solution in the fluid!. There will be no organisms in the fluid that need disinfection!. SO, the lenses are stored simply in normal saline solution and there is no need to rinse them before insertion!. They can be removed from the original case and placed directly on the eye!. Once the lens is removed and placed on the eye, though, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and the like will come in contact with the lens!. That is why you must begin disinfecting your lenses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've never had it be anything other than saline- you may want to check the package, as they say what they're stored in, but if it's saline, go ahead and pop them right in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just a liquid to keep them sanitary and moist!.!.no need to rinse, just put them in your eye! you can rinse with solution if you want to thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com

its sterilised solution!. just like what you buy from the shops to store the contact lenses in!. they are fine to take out and pop right in!Www@Answer-Health@Com
