Question: Question about eye Cataracts!?
Tomorrow I will be getting my eyes checked!. The last time I had my eyes checked was like when I was like in 8th grade or freshmen year (I'm 25 now so its been a while)!. The last time I had my eyes checked the eye doctor said that I have a cataract in one of my eyes!. I'm supposed to be wearing glasses but I haven't wore my glasses in a long time!.
I'm a little bit nervous cause I haven't had my eyes checked in a long time!. My question is what exactly are cataracts and can it be fixed!? Would it be fixed by surgery or with some sort of laser!? Also would the surgery make my vision better!? How long is recovery time!? Please tell me anything you know about cataracts and cataract surgery!?

My father had cataract in both eyes, had the surgery and now has perfect vision!. It is some sort of build up on the lens of your eyes they remove the lens and put an artificial one in!. (i think that is how it works!.) It was an outpatient surgery and could see perfectly right after the surgery!. The best part is health insurance will generally pay for this, unlike the 4500 i paid for elective lasik surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
