I don't know where you live so I have no idea how many hours away 2:40 is!. There are so many things that could be happening and my best advice is for you to keep your appointment where you will get a thorough examination!. Ask these same questions when you see the eye doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im not sure but i have had something similar before which lasted for about 30 mins which really scared me!.!. but oddly it just went by itself when i closed my eyes for a while!. have you tried just resting in a dark room!?!?

but if you are seeing the doctor soon anyways just ask then i suppose!. maybe ring and see if they can see you earlier!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be a migrane!. I had one before, i woke up with fuzzy tunnel vision and sometimes you will get pins and needles spreading accross my hands!. Definitly make an emergancy appointment if it continues that bad it could be something more important causing it!. Hope your ok xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

It appears that you are suffering from a type of migraine!. please give the whole history to your Eye Specialist and get your eyes examined thoroughly to rule out all other possibilities, before making out his prescription!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
