Contact lense question?!

Question: Contact lense question!?
I've been wearing glasses for almost 6 months now, i would like to try contact lenses!. Are the prescription of the glasses and the contacts compatible!? Or should i have an eye exam first!? What are the process with getting a contact lense!? Any info will be appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
they're pretty much the same, but you will need to have a seperate eye test for contact lenses!. your optician should be able to do this for you, and most offer a free trial for a few days so you can try them out before you sign up (not the cheapest thing!)

if and when you decide to wear contact lenses, it's worth shopping around - you can take your contact lense check info with you, and don't have to buy from the optician you got it from, same as glasses!.

if you live in the uk, specsavers are pretty much the cheapest for contact lenses, and you can buy them by direct debit and get them sent out (i do this, they arrive every 3 months with a complete supply)

daily contact lenses are best for your eyes (monthly can irritate, and expensive if you lose or drop them!)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Like everyone said you need another exam for contacts!. If you would like to wait it can possibly be less expensive to wait till your glasses prescription expires and get a glasses/contact exam in one trip!. If you do not need a glasses one then you can just get a contact exam!.

Once you get a contact exam they will talk to you about keeping your contacts clean, and teach you how to put them in!. It is really difficult for most people at first so do not feel discouraged!. I would recommend getting disposable like everyone said!. You can tear or rip a contact or just drop it and never find it so easily!. I think the once a day are pretty hard on your budget so I do either the monthly ones or the two week ones!. I also like the solution that is no rub, and you just change it everyday!. I noticed when I had to rub my contacts to clean them they tore more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need a seperate exam for that!. there are two types of contacts, the ones that are disposable, like every month or so!. and the ones that you can wear all year long!. i recommend the disposable ones because just in case you lose a pair you will have back ups!. with the other ones, you have one pair all year long!. keep in mind, the contact exam is a little more expensive, but worth it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i got mine i had to have an appointment and then he wrote my size and then i had to have a teaching where they gave me my kit(lens, case, solution,re wettting drops) and then u go back to the first doctor and he checks if they are all right and then he will give a prescription so u can start to order some!.!.!.!.!.complicated isnt it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you'd have to be 'fitted' for contact lens!. The ones you can get for one day wear then dispose of seem really good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
