Eyes sensitive to computer screen what can I do?!

Question: Eyes sensitive to computer screen what can I do!?
I have very sensitive eyes, I wear contacts and I have light (Gorgeous blue/green) eyes (just fyi)!. But seriously my eyes are very sensitive especially to the computer screen, even television especially if I`m playing video games, but what Im concerned with right now is what can I do to make the computer screen easier on my eyes!. If im on this thing more than 30 minutes consistently my eyes WILL become red!. Should I be on the computer with a lot of light in the room!? Or should the room be dark and just the computer screen!? What else can I do to reduce the stress of the computer screen on my eyes!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Have the lighting in your room the same or slightly brighter than your computer screen!. Have the screen further than arm's length away, and have it slightly below eye level!. Remember to blink and keep some eye drops near your computer to rewet your eyes when you need to!. Make sure there is no glare coming off your computer screen, like from a lamp or window!. Get an LCD screen or a glare filter if you have problems with this!. And take breaks!. Look away from the screen for 20 seconds every 20 minutes!. If you still are having problems, see your optometrist!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your eyes may be drying out while watching tv/looking at computer!. When we are concentrating, we don't blink as much!. Consider applying artificial tears, i!.e!., Refresh, Genteal or Tears naturale, periodically!. If the problem persists, see your eye doctor for other solutions!. Glare resistant glasses may help in those situations!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem!. But it was never as bad until I started having to wear glasses which makes me consider the glare you get on your lenses!. Which by the way, do you wear glasses!? I notice for me that it bothers me more if i turn the lights out or down!. But I have always had problem with my eyes adjusting to light!. I've considered wearing sunglasses or clips over my glasses and seeing how that works against the screen!. A polarized lens will completely cut out any glare if that's what's causing your problems!. But i'm not sure if it will be too dark for it to be effective as a solution!. So in essence, if you wear glasses, make sure you have an anti-glare coating on the lenses, both front and backside!. And yes, you have to specify!. Or try polarized sunglasses or clips, the worse that could happen is they don't work but you have an awesome pair of sunglasses for outdoors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
