Question: How do I order prescription reading glasses from a prescription (which numbers do I use)!?
My dad wants me to help him order prescription reading glasses!. He does not want bifocals (He is over 40)!.!.!.he wants strictly single-vision reading glasses!. This is his prescription:
-3!.25 +1!.25 x105
-3!.75 +1!.25 x85
ADD +2!.25
BAL +2!.50
From what I can tell, it looks like a prescription for correcting nearsightedness!. What numbers would I use to order glasses that only correct farsightedness!?
Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The prescription S/V near Rx from the above is:
-1!.00 / +1!.25 ax 105
-1!.50 / +1!.25 ax 85
(2!.25 reading addition appled to the sphere powers)
But the term BAL +2!.50 is confusing, as you've written it, as it would normally appear, in someone with no useful vision in one eye, in the main section instead of the full Rx for one eye or the other!. But +2!.50 isn't a balance power for any of the the Rx strengths, distance or near!.
To be honest, if you were hoping to order glasses on-line, I'd not recommend it!.
PD and frame fit issues, for starters, never mind any uncertainty over the Rx!.
