Question about single-vision lenses?!

Question: Question about single-vision lenses!?
It's been so long since I've gotten new glasses that I'm not sure what kind of lenses I have!. They allow me to see far because I'm nearsighted but I can also use them to read!. In other words, I wear them all the time!. In fact, they actually improve my near vision because without them I have to hold a book a little more closely to see it clearly!. Are my glasses single vision or are they no-line bifocals or something else!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
They must be single-vision lenses, because if they were bifocals you'd have to hold things further away without your glasses to see them clearly!.

Mine are single-vision and every word you typed is how I experience my glasses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They sound like progressives!.
A progressive lens has the distance correction in the top, then a computer generated transition is created through midrange focus in the middle part of the lens to near vision on the very bottom!.
They need to be fit very precisely, but are the best option for people who are presbyopic!.
On the other hand, if you are a myope under 40, they are likely single vision!. In this case they focus your eyes for distance, but your accomodation (near focus ability) allows you to focus on near objects through them as well!.
In this case your eyes' natural focus is closer than a comfortable reading distance (15 to 20 inches for most people)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

single vision glasses can do just what you're describing!. When you get older (usually in your 40s), you will probably need glasses for reading in which case bifocals might be the way to go!. If you can still read clearly with your glasses now, chances are you don't need bifocals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they're bifocals!.!.!.and I'd learn to remember what you're wearing for glasses, it might make the difference, seeing and not seeing!.!.!.in case you HAVE to get some when you're not around your home (town)Www@Answer-Health@Com
