Just like anything else, cheaply made frames are cheaper than better made ones!. Then you have the livelyhood of the peole who make them!. Oriental frames cost way less than Italian frames!. The cost of living for these people is way different and the quality of their work and their work ethic is reflected in the prices of their goods!. hand made items are more costly than mass produced ones!. There are cheap frames!. Some have no warranty!. There are expensive ones!. SOme have a 2 year warranty some have a lifetime warranty!. Your prices usually do reflect what it is that you are getting!. In the eyewear world name brands are more expensive, but most of the time the company that puts their name lisence out there does not want to be associated with infirior products, so they do tend to sign up with better products and so you get more expensive glasses as that goes!. Check tire prices, shoe prices!. Anything where price and warranty, and quality dictate what you pay for!. You usually get what you pay for!. Something else we see a lot is this: People buy cheap glasses outside of our Doctor's office!. But, the people at the cheap place, or the online order is not made right or needs adjustments that the cheap place just can not do nor can they get it right!. So, the customer comes back to me to get the work done!. But, they did not want to pay me to get quality and my expertise!. How fair is that!? Good things and good service cost!.
