I just got contacts for the first time yesterday..questions!?!

Question: I just got contacts for the first time yesterday!.!.questions!!?
Mk so I've never had contacts before yesterday:

1) can i use eye drops (like visine) with my contacts in, or do i need to take them out to use that!?
2) is it normal for your vision to go a little blurry when you look down (with your eyes, not moving your head)!? and does it hurt or is that a bad sign!?

!.!.these are just "Trial" contacts!. I don't know what brand they are!.!.I'm going back next week to the optometrist (not completely sure why, but they always do a weekly follow-up after you get the trial contacts)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congratulations! First off, you should only use eye drops that your doctor approves!. Visine has a drop that is for contacts!. You can use that one with your contacts, but any "get the red out" eye drop is bad and you should not use them period!. They mask eye problems and that is dangerous!. I use an eye drop called Optive and you can get it over the counter, it is for dry eyes and can be used with or without contacts!. Always be careful to look to see if you can use them with your contacts!. They usually tell you on the box!. Your best bet is to see what your doctor recommends! Now, yes you can get a little blur from looking down becuase your lens might move up a little bit as you look down and you might look in the a peripheral curve a bit and get a slight blur!. You might feel it too just becuase your eye is not used to the lense yet!. I do not feel mine at all anymore when I look down or up at all, but then again my eyes are used to them and the feelings!. This should clear up a bit as time goes on!. Something else is that your tear layer is wonky from not being used to the contacts, so your lens might move around a bit and also sit a little way from your eye while it is coasting on the tear layer!. Once your eyes settle down in a few days, your tears will also settle in and the lense will sit closer to your eye and not feel like it is moving as much!. "TRIAL" lenses are a free pair that the doctor uses before they order your supply!. They are real lenses exactly like the ones you buy, they are just supplied by the contact lens company for fitting purposes!. The Doctor has you come back in a week to check several things with your eyes and your lense!. Sometimes the lens fit will change after you have worn it a while and you might need a different size!. Or you might not see 100% so you might need a different power!. There are certain things that show up a week later that can be bad that do not show up the first couple of days when you wear an incorrect lense!. If it is too loose or too tight the doctor might seesigns of something that could cause long term dammage if not changed!. This is why you have to come back in!. Most of the time you will be checked out and things will be great!. Ever so often the doctor needs to give you a different lens and have you come back in another week!. This is standard operation proceedure for most reputable Doctors!. Once they get things finalized they will order your supply of lenses that you will use until your hext appointment!. Good luck and I hope I helped a bit!Www@Answer-Health@Com

1) Visine works great on eyes but has certain problems with contacts(It tends to make them dry and cloudy)!. If you're wearing the contacts and need to use rewetting drops, make sure to get the drops that are intended for contacts!.
2) The blurry vision could either be a side effect of using the wrong contact lens solution or you have a slight astigmatism that the Dr!. did not feel necessary to put in the prescription for the contacts they issued you!. Be sure to address this issue with the Dr!. when you go back to the follow up appointment!.

The follow up visit is to make sure that it fits properly, you're not experiencing an allergic reaction to the contacts, and that you can see properly after your eyes have adjusted to the prescription!.

Hope all of this helps!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. No, you can't use visine with contacts!. There are other types of drops out there that you can use with your contacts in!.

2!. Usually the reason for it being a little blury is from the fluids from your eye!. Usually, if you blink, it will go away or be moved away!. To alleviate that, you can take your contacts out and rinse them as well as your eye, then put them back in!. Of course, use the solution to rinse your contacts!.

The only other reason for it being blurry is that your contacts are too small and you are just looking through a section of your eye that isn't being covered by your contacts!. So, your vision is noticeably different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Other than the re-wetting lubricating solution solutions for contacts, it is best to take out the lenses when using other drops!.

1!. Take your contacts out first!.
2!. No, it's not normal, however not very serious!. Your "trial"contacts are probably a bit too small for your eyes, or they just don't fit well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
