After my Lasik surgery last week, I see 20/20 now!. But I also see glare around every light: tv, computer screen, fluorescent, incandescent, etc!. I also see starbursts from LED lights and other lights, like car headlights at night!. Some say these side effects go away!. Others do not!. Did I make a mistake!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The answer is yes, no, maybe and eventually!. Let me explain!. Wavefront Lasik is a customized procedure with the goal of reducing glare, halo, starburst in dim light or night time vision!. Having Custom as opposed to standared will not eliminate issues with nightime vision!. You may have issues with nightime vision immediately following the procedure for up to 6 months!. Most docs will tell you that these issues will subside within 6 months approximately!. Dependent upon the presence of low order abberations and which type of treatment your received will determine the length of time you will be dealing with these issues!. Some patients will have no issues with nighttime vision, some will have issues forever and most will have issues that subside eventually!. My husband had Custom Optimized Lasik last month and has had almost no side affects other than perfect, vibrant crisp vision! There are no guarantees and unfortunately not everyone's results are flawless!. I am naturally 20/20 but have alot of low order abberations so our vision sounds quite similar!. Since you just had Lasik, your vision is most likely going to fluctuate, and your night vision should improve as well as any dry eye you may be experiencing!. If you had your treatment at a reputable practice, they are there for you so give them a call with your concerns and at the very least bring it up with your doc at one of your six follow ups!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My husband had Lasik surgery and experienced the same thing at first!. The doctor prescribed some drops to help in the midterm while driving ect ect!. It slowly went away!. Enjoy your eyes!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had Lasik a year ago!. I still see some starbursts around
light sources but it has decreased a little by keeping my eyes
wet!. Try to ignore them and your brain will compensate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
