What is this part of the eyelid called?!


Question: What is this part of the eyelid called!?
Apparently the lower eyelid is called the "Lower Waterline" by many people, by profession!. However!.!.!.on the lower eyelid/lower waterline!.!.!.on the inside of the eye towards your nose - if you pull back that lower eyelid, in the corner there is a 'hole!.' It is a literal hole!.!.what does this do!? Is this where the eye secretes tears!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It connects to the tear duct, and conducts tears *away* from the eye!.

good answer Pedestal!. That is exactly what it is!. The tear drainage system !.!.just like a drain for your sink/tub!. It is called the punctum and it just tries to clear out the extra tears from your eyes!. Sometimes it is unable to handle the amount of tears we shed!.!.!.nadthat's when tears run down our face!.!.!.like an overflowing tub!.

oh and the drainage system empties in to the back of your nose!.!.that's why your nose runs when you cry or when your eyes are too watery!.!.!.!.it's all connected!Www@Answer-Health@Com
