Why is it that my prescription got worse and worse throughout my teens, and then!
Question: Why is it that my prescription got worse and worse throughout my teens, and then just stabilised!?
I started wearing glasses when I was 8!. My prescription was fairly stable, but then when I got to about 13, my eyesight got worse and worse!.!.!.but it stabilised when I got to 17, with my prescription finally being -7!.
I haven't needed a new pair of glasses for ten years because my prescription has been so stable!. Why is it that my eyesight got so bad throughout my teens, and then just stablised!? Is there a reason for it!?
Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it has something to do with the whole changing body thing!. it happens to a lot of people who wear glasses!. that was what happened to my mom and me tooWww@Answer-Health@Com
The progression of myopia is believed to be a combination of your genes and the amount of nearwork you do at a young age!. Some people are born with the predisposition to become myopic and under the right circumstances, increasing nearwork like in school, their myopia will progress as they grow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your condition won't disappear when you get older!. I can remember being told as a child by eye care specialists that my eye problems would lessen as I got older due to the development of presbyopia!. I now know that they were full of it!. It's not true!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
hi
i honestly dont think there is a real explainable/scientific reason why your myopia has stopped at the age of 17 just be glad that your prescription has stayed the same over the years might have saved you loads of money for spending on eyeglassesWww@Answer-Health@Com
