Am I cross-eyed a little bit??!

Question: Am I cross-eyed a little bit!?!?
I'm doing research on stress and myopia and in class my supervisor put a pen in front of my eyes moved it back and forth, and then said my eyes weren't going in properly or something!. She acted like it was no big deal though, and she is an optomotrist!. Didn't have a chance though to ask her what exactly she meant!.

I also remember that when I went to the ophthalmologist a few years ago, he did the same thing for AGES!. Moving his pen back and forth as though checking to see if I was cross-eyed!. But didn't say anything!.!.!.

And I notice that occasionally in photos i sometimes look a little cross-eyed!. But i always thought it was cos my eye shape is a little oriental!.

What does all this mean!?!?!? Is it normal for people to have one eye turning in a little or something!? Can this also affect vision!. Because my vision has gotten slighly worse in one eye over the past year, i'm getting it checked soon!. Should I mention it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I would mention to your eye doctor, just so he can reassure you that it is no big deal!.

You probably have a small problem focusing you eye muscles up close, so when they hold the pen, your eyes don't work together, but it is not a problem in daily life!.

As for looking cross eyed in pictures, that could be your eye shape!. Many people bring their babies to the eye doc with that concern and it is because of the shape of their eyes!. There is actually a big name for it "pseudostrabismus"Www@Answer-Health@Com

this sounds like Convergence insufficiency, its a sensory and neuromuscular anomaly of the binocular vision system, characterized by an inability of the eyes to approach each other, or sustain convergence!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The good news: It's cute!.

The bad news: It could be vision threatening!.

However I'm not the one to tell you if it's a problem or not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry to hear that, and i hope you don't have the cross eyed thing cause that's gotta suck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
