Does straining your eyes cause you to be nearsighted, at all?!

Question: Does straining your eyes cause you to be nearsighted, at all!?
Answers:
Acutally, it's think it's a hereditary problem and not something you can cause from doing too much close up work!. You could make it occur faster if you do but you won't develop nearsightedness if you don't already have the tendency for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, the reason for myopia (nearsightness) is disputed!. Most scientists believe that it is a genetic problem (they have pinpointed the PAX6 gene, look it up), but some believe it is both genetic and environmental, while others believe that it's purely environmental!. Personally, I think it's all about genes, but straining your eyes isn't recommended!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
