People at on time had to rely on their senses just like animals!. When in light, your pupils contract for focus and is natures way of protection!. When it is dark your pupils expand getting huge like an owls for us to see better at night!. It takes a minute or two for our eyes to focus and some of us like yourself have a gift of seeing better in the dark than most people!. There is nothing wrong with your eyes!. You can just adapt to the dark better than most!. I see things clearer after my eyes adjust also and also think things are getting lighter but in reality it,s just our eyes adapting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The brightness you experience is your eyes abjusting to the darkness!. The amount of light doesn't change, but more light gets inside your eye!. That's why, if you turn on the light after you accomodate, the light will be too bright for about half a minute, until your eyes can accomodate to more light again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The ability to see better in the dark is your eyes adjusting to the amount of light in the room!. Your eyes are opening more to gather more light!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your pupil (the black 'dot' of your eye) is expanding to let in more light- so while the world SEEMS brighter (and thus more detailed) it is merely your eye allowing more of the pre-existing light IN!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yer eyes get used to the dark after while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
