Question: Vision question: Black spots and/or floaters!.!.!?
I'm a contact lens wearer!. I have taken decent care of my eyes and was wearing Acuvue 2 with not much problems!. Recently, I went to a new eye doctor and got a new kind of contacts!. For some dumb reason, this doctor prescribes to me SofMed by CooperVision!. I didn't know these contacts were so crappy but they totally bothered my eyes and it seems like they dried them out!. I ended up leaving the country before I could go do a follow up at the doctor's and while away, I got an eye infection (I think)! I had to remove my contacts for some days and I was using a rinse to wash it with!. The burning and puffyness went away but these floating things were left behind! My sister's eye doctor had told her that the eye does this when it is searching for oxygen but it seems like they are supposed to be PERMANENT!?!!?! Is that true!?! I've had this big floating thing for around a week now!. I had a smaller one that might be gone!. What are these things and will they go away!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

As others have said, yes floaters are permanent but nothing to worry about (unless you notice a whole bunch at once)!. They are caused by part of the inside of your eye breaking away and then floating through the liquid in your eye!.
When your eye is lacking oxygen, like if you wear your contacts for too long, new blood vessels can grow over your iris and cornea, which is very dangerous!. This may have been what your sister was talking about!. Floaters don't have anything to do with lack of oxygen as far as I know!.

unfortunately i think floaters are permanent, they however can be removed by surgery however most people learn to live with them and generally you become accustomed to them and block them out of your vision naturally unless you really focus on them!. these could have been caused by your eye infection as well, doctors can see the scarring from the infection!. also as an fyi acuvue 2 has been discontinued, i used to wear them as well but my doctor switched me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Since you state no age, it is difficult to say!. These Floaters are a part of the aging eye, and are present in people that never had contact lenses!. You are making the right decision by seeing your Eye Doctor in order to diagnose your specific case, which may be due to contact lenses wear The floaters of an aging eye are permanent, and one gets used to them, after a while!.!.!. and are only noticed if specifically focusing to find them!.!.!. they are there !.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
