Some people should really not be allowed to comment in cases like this!. You are not supposed to allow tap water to make contact with lenses!. NEVER wash your contact lenses or the contact case with water!

I have had a shower with my lenses in, with no great concern, however you are not supposed to as water carries bacteria, unlike contact lens solution!.

I'd recommend clearing questions like this up with a professional, as people on here can be wrong, and with things as serious as is, you can't afford to be wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can shower with them in, you can also swim but with swimming you run the risk of losing them unless you wear goggles!. You can wear makeup, eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc!. Don't sleep with them in, they'll stick to your eyes and it feels funy when youtry to take them off; unless the contacts say you can sleep with them in your eyes!. If they pop out of your eye for any reason and you don't have any rinsing solution rinse them in tap water don't use your spit (because you don't want to get bacteria from your mouth into your eye)!. Don't rub your eyes too hard they could move, but if that happens just reposition them, if they happen to fold up just take them out and put them back in!. They're really easy to maintain, just clean them like you were shown and take them out at night!. It's really nothing to stress over!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tap water should not come into contact with your lenses because it has bacteria in it that can cause infection!. Your stomach and skin can handle it, but an eye that uses contacts is susceptible to infection from these bacteria, and that can be serious!. Ideally, you'd not shower in your lenses for that reason!. Similarly with swimming, unless you have daily disposable lenses that you can change as soon as you get out of the water!. Make up is no problem, just make sure your hands are clean when you put your lenses in because makeups and creams can have oils in them that stick on your lenses and make them filmy!. Make sure you rub them well each time you take them out, too, to prevent filmy buildup!.

I encourage you to write down any questions that you have this week and take them in for your check up next week!. That's one reason we see you back so soon-- so problems or concerns can be addressed! You can even call the office if you just have a quick question or 2 and I'm sure someone would be happy to help you out over the phone!. I assure you that we actually like it when you ask questions--it shows that you are motivated to care for your lenses properly and that you can be responsible with them!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i wear soft contacts and you can shower with them on, swim all that stuff, just keep your eyes closed (unless youre wearing goggles of course, lol)!. if the water gets in your eye with them open, theres a chance it could wash them out!. so just keep your eyes closed and wipe your eyes gently before opening them and your fine!. i say gently rub them because you could move them otherwise!. its not a big thing if you do, however!. you just close your eyes back and move them around in your head to catch them again on your pupil!. theres no problems with crying, just remember the thing i said about wiping your eyes!. nothing to do concerning make-up, youre not putting it in your eye just around it!. tho depending on your eyes, some may irritate you!. its just a personal thing you will have to figure out for yourself concerning like eye liner and mascara(sp!?)!. otherwise theres nothing to it, nothing different really much from the other lenses!. if you wanna know more feel free to message me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
