Ophthalmology MD Did I Have Reaction To The Drops?!

Question: Ophthalmology MD Did I Have Reaction To The Drops!?
Yesterday I had an eye exam my the Opthalmalogist (an eye MD)!. I had four different drops before the exam!. First ones were an anesthetic and the others were for dialation!. Some accidently got on my face!. As the drops began to dialate my eyes my face began to feel hotter and hotter and very tight!. My face and ears became bright red!.

After the exam, as my eyes began to return to normal so did the redness and "heat" in my face!.

What the heck was in those drops!? It seems like the drops dialated more than just my pupils!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
One contains phenylephrine which is a antihistamine!. Another is Tropicamide which is an accelerate!. Lastly is Fluorescence which contains iodine!. Unless you have an allergy to any of these drops I see no reason for the skin reaction!. These drops drip down my patients face almost always!. I've only seen reactions to fluorescence for iodine allergies are common!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
