Answers:
you don't have an infection -- you've made your blood vessels mad!

here's the deal: most of the time red eyes are caused by dryness and the vessels in your eyes get mad and flare up causing your eyes to get red and bloodshot!.

when you put a drop in your eye to make it white again, it constricts your blood vessels -- that's what makes your eye less red or white again!. when the medicine wears off, your blood vessels are even more mad than they were before, even angrier that you're not fixing the real problem with your eye!.

ergo, years of "getting the red out" can be bad and make it even worse!.

go to the doctor and get a prescription for Restasis!. It really does help and you only put it in in the morning and at night and over time your eyes will be less dry and less angry at you-- and as a result, more white!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A few days ago I was rubbing my eyes (with my contacts in) because lately my eyes got very itchy and irritating, so when I did this my eye puffed up like a balloon and got very red!. I went to the doctor and he said it could just be an irritation from the contacts (cough cough they were very old) or a slight bacteria problem!. So he gave me a prescription to drops (vigamox) to take for 5 days, 1 drop 3 times a day within a day or so it cleared up and the next day I got new contacts, now I'm 100% better!. The doctor said if my eye didn't clear up from the drops, it is a slight infection (bacteria) and that I should see an eye doctor (not an optometrist but an actual eye doctor) hope I helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com
