I had the same issue when I first got my contacts! I was so disappointed that day, so I started practicing too!.
You can practice by closing one eye, and with your index finger and thumb, pinch them together!. Now, hold that pinch and go up to the eye that is closed!. Put a little tiny bit of pressure on the lid (this is what it will feel like on your eye), and then just do I tiny pinch (don't actually pinch your eye lid, just pinch the air)!. Keep doing that for a bit, but remember not to actually pinch yourself or it'll hurt like hell!.
With this practice, you should be able to take them out easily at your next appointment!. =) It also helps more if you get a different optician!.!.!. because sometimes one optician can't explain it in a way that you can really understand and apply, but another optician can!. (That was the case for me!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wash your hands thoroughly and practice touching the corner (white) of your eye!. Until you can hold your finger on the white for a fairly long time w/out getting too afraid, then you can go back to the optician and try out the contacts again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
