It is really annoying and glasses and contacts and stuff like that are really expensive!.
Well anyway wat is the age that a person can safely fave optical surgery
I am thirteen so I know it might be a couple of years for me
And if possible could I know the estimated recovery time
Thnx alot i wuz just thinking about it and I thought it would really be sad if I became legally blind anyway

I don't want to sound discouraging but there are risks involved when choosing any eye surgery to correct or improve vision!. Sure, as technology becomes more advanced and more precise and one sees the results after years of observation then we can see the effectiveness of modern day surgery!.!. If it is a choice between life or death and the risks far outweigh the treatment then there is little choice!. Laser eye corrective surgery has its downfall to those who have been treated!. These patients have regretted going this route because now they suffer from severe dry eyes,halo's, poor night vision, double and duplicate vision, and even blindness!. Some celebrities who have chosen the best known eye surgeons have succumbed to these conditions!. If eye glasses or contacts are working for you I would suggest you leave it at that and don't worry right now what you want to do later!. Fortunately there a few years for you to consider eye correction, as you say as you are still able to see with your present prescription!. Hopefully in the near future eye correction will become more fine tuned and the risks will be closer to zero!.
As a believer in God I don't believe he takes part in mans technology of today!. If he did, surely he would eliminate suffering for those who are dying of hunger etc!. But I do believe that time will come when He steps in to take of all our needs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Surgery will cost more then glasses i know the real reason you dont want them its because you dont like them and glasses are not expensive mine cost $25 and they really help as for contacts they cost a little more and surgery cost alot more!. Tell your parents i want some contacts becuase i have bad eyesight and they will check it out at a local eye doctor and why didnt you tell your parents in the first place!? eye surgery will most likely take 2 weeks recovery and i think you have to be 18!. just stick with glasses and contactsWww@Answer-Health@Com
i have very bad eye sight too!. i just broke my glasses for the second time in two months just a few minutes ago!. i mean my glasses are like totaled!. but for me, my left eye is ok and i can get away with out wearing glasses, but my right eye, its like looking through a magnifin glass its sooooo blury!. i get head achs all the time too!. i tried but couldnt get contact in!. i just turned 14 two days ago!. the only ting that chears me up is that god gave us bad eye sight for a reason!. even if you think its helpless, theres always a reason!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

but i just got contact lenses,
i have to pay for them myself but its worth it
theyre alot better than glasses
so maybe you can just get them for like, the time being then surgery when your older
but anyways i think you can get surgery when your like 18+, seeing as your eyes are like fully developed then
cos like if you get the surgery now your eyes will change as you get older

You cannot become legally blind unless you have very bad eyesight *and* glasses or contacts fail to deliver better vision!. Just needing a relatively high Rx does not make someone legally blind!.
You have to wait until at least 18 years of age, and most people need to be 21 or older, as it's necessary to show an unchanged Rx for at least two years, otherwise the eyes will move away from the re-set zero Rx as you continue to grow!.
(Most Rx's stabilise between 18-22 years of age)
In five year's time techniques may well have changed, so I wouldn't worry too much about details for the moment!.
