Eye Question, help me out please!?!

Question: Eye Question, help me out please!!?
I'm 24, and was born with congenital glaucoma and nystagmus!. I had mini shunt surgery in Oct 07 to help relieve the pressure in my left eye, since then my vision in that eye has not fully restored (blurriness, wavy lines etc)!. About 2 1/2 weeks ago I started having very heavy, gritty, sometimes burning eyes and went to my Opthalmologist so he could check them out, he said the pressure in my eyes and everything else looked fine, said he believes it is allergies and dry eye, gave me some allergy Elestat drops and sent me home!. The only thing is, my vision went from 20/30 in the right eye to 20/50 in about a week!. Also, when I take my glasses off, it seems as if the weaker left eye is trying take away from the stronger right eye when focusing!. I have spoken to my eye doctor about this and he says I nothing to worry about!. I have been seriously stressing lately about going blind!. Am I worrying to much!? Everyone tells me to give it time and if nothing changes get a 2nd opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry to hear about your vision!. The first thing is that your glaucoma is controlled and that's always good!. You can really damage your eye sight if the pressure gets too high!.
I have really chronic allergies and I know that my vision gets really bad when that happens!. I know for a fact that when your eyes are dry your vision can drop quite a bit!. That unfortunately is bad!. Ellestat is a really good drop for allergies!. Make sure you use it as often as your doctor prescribed it!. If that doesn't help, make another appointment and let him know that you want something else done to improve your vision!.
The thing that sucks is the waiting!. you have to wait to make sure that the drops are working!. Maybe you have a blocked tear duct, ask him to check that too!.
Allergies at this time of the year are really bad!. you can put your drops in and wait about 5 minutes and check your vision then, you'll see how much better your vision will get!.
You are too young to be going blind!. Unless you had an accident recently or are taking any new meds!.!.!.!.!.that could contribute to your decreased vision!.!.!.!.
ask all of those question to your ophthalmologist!.
I hope this helps!.

I would definitely get a second opinion and also I highly recommend vision therapy if there is a vision therapist available in your area!. (There are only 2 in the state of SC, I'm just fortunate to live near one!.) Vision therapy has helped my vision more than anything!. Its changed my life by strengthening my weaker eye!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
