i get made fun of for the way i walk because i always keep my head forward and my lack of balance!. someone told me i walk like a "mongoloid!."
and people are ALWAYS pointing out how shaky my eyes are, its so irritating!.

My sister and myself both have the condition!. Hers is much much worse than mine though, and she is legally blind as well!.
I get those ignorant comments from strangers as well, such as "You're eyes are weird," or "Woah stop shaking your eyes," but I've sort of gotten used to it!. I think that I am more self conscious about it than I should be though!. I used to avoid eye contact at all costs, but I am getting better every day!.
My sister, on the other hand, has very severe nystagmus, much worse than me!. She is also a pure albino and also has extremely poor eyesight!. She gets many stares from strangers, but she hasn't let that bother her too much!. I am very proud of her!.
Once people get to know you though, the nystagmus just disappears to them!. It can make us a little self conscious, but in the end, it's just another aspect that makes us unique!.

there is medication that may be of help to correct your problem, find a good nuerologist, get their opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
