Does the degree of nearsightedness affect the size of the iris?!

Question: Does the degree of nearsightedness affect the size of the iris!?
My friends who have really bad eyes, as in their eye degree is like -8!.00 to like -9!.00, have really large irises!. Does the size of the iris reflect on how bad your eye sight is!? Or does it not relate to one another!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No!. The iris has nothing to do with near-sightedness!. Either the cornea has grown too round or the eyeball too long (or a combination of both) for the image to focus in the proper place!. In either case, it falls short of the back of the eye and concave lenses are needed to refocus the image in the proper place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No relation!.

It's the shape of your overall eyes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
