Question: When does an eye doctor dilate your eyes and does he always do it for everyone!?

Answers:
The dilation of the pupils is to check the eye and look for diseases/infections!.
An eye doctor might usually does it to everyone, but how often depends on the doctor!.

this doesn't matter, but why did u say "and does he" as if an eye doctor has to be a boy!? you can answer in feedback if you choose me as best answerWww@Answer-Health@Com

That may depend on the doctor!. Some dilate every patient every time!. I believe that really isn't necessary in the younger, healthier population and do it every other time!. Of course if there is a condition which warrants dilation, such as diabetes, or if you are older, I do it annually!. However, it should be done at least periodically in order to have had a thorough ocular health evaluation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dilation of the pupil allows the doctor to visually examine the condition of the inside and back of your eye!. It is part of any thorough eye examination!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doctors focus light in eyes!.That makes the pupil small!. Dilated pupil permits refraction, examination of lens, vitreous, and retina!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no he only does it to people that don't have 20/20 vision at least in one eye!.!.!.but they do it to check out your eyes to see if they are getting better or worse!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a thorough eye exam every year, and have never had my pupils dilated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
