Question: About corneal transplant and caterache removal from car wreck!?
okay
i was in a wreck 9 months ago and having a corneal tranplant next month
i am getting a caterache removed

i keep forgetting to ask the doc if it will look the same as my other eye which is normal

IS IT GOING TO LOOK THE SAME AS MY NORMAL EYE WHEN THE SURGERY IS DONE!?

It will look much more the same than if it is left with corneal scarring and a cataract
(traumatic cataracts often develop into an obvious white pupil over time)

The iris colour won't normally change, but if there is damage to the iris the pupil may be an odd shape!. It's a delicate structure and that can't always be rectified, if it's affected!.

The priority will be to restore the eye's functionality, followed by leaving the minimum of corneal scarring, but that won't be zero!. It can't be with a corneal graft!.
