Question: I just went to the eye doctor and!.!.!.!?
I went to the eye doctor because I had a red (irritation!?) spot around my iris in one eye!. I had gotten a red blotchy mark just like this about 2 weeks ago I think from eye wash getting in my eye and i wore glasses until it went away!. but now, like i said, it came back!. so i went to the doctor and he said that my eye is very open to infection and if i put any contacts in, i will get some serious damage (like cornea removal!.!.)
both my mom and I thought he was over exaggerating!. but do u think its OK or safe to wear my contacts for just tomorrow and then wear glasses after that!.!. just tomorrow because im going to a birthday party!. I mean, ive been like this for like 3 weeks already and I dont feel anything!. im still concernedWww@Answer-Health@Com

if you've been wearing your contacts the whole time then i'd get a new pair and wear them to make sure they're clean if you absolutely have to wear them!. put them in right before you leave and take them out as soon as possible!. i wouldn't tho, i'd wear glasses!. but if you must wear the contacts, wear a new pair even if you already have one that you're usingWww@Answer-Health@Com
I get the feeling you are going to do what you want anyway!. Doctors don't usually exaggerate, but tell you like it is!. If you continue to not listen or follow directions, it could have an adverse affect!. Perhaps not wearing contacts ever again!. Why would you seek advice from strangers who haven't or aren't able to see your eye and can't diagnose it better than the actual doctor who saw you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Have you and your mom got a degree in opthalmology!?!? He's not over reacting, he can see damage on the outside of your eye that is invisible to the human eye!. If bacteria got in a legion in your epitherial (the outside layer of your eye) you would end up with some thing nasty like an ulcer on your eye!., and worse case loose your sight!.!. is it really worth risking it!?!?

Listen to your doctor!!!!! He didn't say that just to scare you !. He is trying to preserve your eyesight!! You should wear your glasses tomorrow or plan to wear really thick ones for the rest of your life!. Some things can not be corrected with contact lenses!.
