Hi there!. Most styes go away on their own in 5-7 days!. Here are a few tips for you!.!.!.

* Apply warm compresses 4-6 times a day for about 15 minutes at a time to help the drainage!. Keep your eyes closed!.

* Gently scrub the eyelid with tap water or with a mild, nonirritating soap or shampoo (such as baby shampoo)!. This may help with drainage!. Close your eyes as you scrub so you do not injure your eyes!.

* Do not squeeze or puncture the sty!. A more serious infection may occur as a result!.

* I know you said you have discontinued using make-up but you should know that it would not only further irritate your eye but, both that and any eye lotions you have may be infected!.

* Discontinue wearing your contact lenses because the sty may cause an infection to spread to your cornea with the continued use of your contact lenses!.

I hope all this info helps with your problem!. Take care!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only thing that ever worked well for me was a hot compress!.!. Just use a clean cloth and soak it in warm/hot water and hold it over your eye!. The warmth can help to unclog the eyelid gland!. Do that for about ten minutes at a time with a half hour or so in between!.!. No guarantee that will fix it though!. It will work if it's just clogged with oil, but, not if it's infected with staph!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know it seems strange, but it's an old hollywood secret for puffy eyes!. Preparation H!. just rub a little under your eye where it's puffy, be careful not to get it in your eye or rub your eyes after, but it will take the puffiness down right pretty quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you think its a stye try a hot compress on your eye!. If it's itchy or has any discharge contact your eye doctor and describe the symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
