You kind-of can if you shine light onto your eyelids when your eyes are closed!. They appear reddish/orange because of the blood vessels in them!.
But if there is no light shining on them, it's just too dark to see anything!. It's not like there's much to see anyway! And even if there was something to see on the inside of the eyelid, it would be too dark, too close, and too blurry to decipher what is was!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your eyes "see" because light hits them and is focused on a spot on the back of your eyeball!. The light is then turned into information and sent through your optical nerve to the brain, which interprets it by creating an image!. Thus, light must be hitting your light for you to see, and when you close your eyes, there isn't any light!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
What you see is reflected light!. When you close your eyes, there is not light inside and nothing is reflecting!. If you could put some light in there, you would see it!.
