Question: New glasses are creating an optical illusion my Optomitrist can't explain !!?
I've had my new glasses redone and still have this problem !
When viewing with these glasses everything to the left is closer than the right, making flat surfaces higher ,making it appear to be slanted from left to right and slightly more so in the far right corner of the surface as well as when viewing any square object coser than 7ft!. as though the object is not square but shorter on the left than the right !
When closing each eye individually things appear fine !
Does any one know what's causing this and how can my Optomitrist adjust my glasses to fix it !!?!?

It sounds like the prescription isn't balanced!. One is probobly too strong or too weak!. Have your Optomitrist recheck your eyes to validate your prescription!. He/she should also be able to mimic the problem with the test measuring device!.
It is slightly possible that you have some underlying problem that is just now presenting itself!. Although that is highly doubtful!. If your optomitrist can fix it, I would advise going to an opthamologist for a more in-depth examination of your eyes/visionWww@Answer-Health@Com

Could be a few things!.!.!.Spazztic might be right , that your glasses have unwanted prism ground in, or your pupillary distance measurement may be off by a couple of millimeters, or if in the case of high index lenses, maybe your optical centers weren't measured!.
Also, the prescription itself may be wrong and you may have too much or too little astigmatism correction or the axes may be off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All O!.D!.'s are not equal!. You could have several different things happening!. Right off it sounds like a prism problem in one of your lenses!. If you go to a "one hour" lab sometimes they mess prism lenses!. Also you could have something called vertical hypertropia ( one eye shifts up while the other remains the same!. Most optometrist will not screen for this until "conventional" testing fails to find the problem!. I would highly suggest having a sensory motor exam ( possible performed by a different O!.D!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a pair of glasses do that!. My doctor didn't believe me, and I never got them fixed!. That being said, make sure they double check you have the correct prescription in the frames!. Also, they put different caps or something over the lens, tell them you want the same kind on both lenses!. If you still can't see, go with with a different shape lens, which will mean you need a different frame!. Above all do not pay for glasses you can not use and continue to go back and have them send your glasses back until you get a pair you can see out of!. They told me to just wear mine and that my eyes would adjust!. That was bull crap! Don't give up until you get a pair you can see out of!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
