Be careful!. I did that a lot last summer, and got a corneal ulcer!. I was in agony and blind in the eye for days, had to be in hospital!. The eye specialist said it was one of the major causes of blindness in young people!. I had to have very nasty treatment to heal it, which involved going to hospital every two days for the next few weeks and had to wear glasses for the following 4 months (that was the worst bit!!)!.
And all because I slept in my contacts too much!.
I thought it would be ok too, but it ain't, so be careful!.

You should google 'corneal ulcer' and you'll see!. If they get really bad you could require an eye transplant!. These are most commonly caused by sleeping in contact lenses!! DON'T DO IT!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would never sleep with contacts in my eyes!. I am an optician I see it all the time when people sleep with their contacts in!. If you look at your eye under a microscope you will see a scratched up cornea!. This can never be fixed!. This can mess up your vision and cause other problems!. Also your eye needs oxygen!. With a contact on your eye all the time your eye cannot get any oxygen, which will cause blood vessels to grow and pop out in your eye (it looks gross)!. Also protein build up can occur, and also you can get some nasty infections!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You shouldn't sleep with them unless they're sleeping contacts!. This is because they can really damage your eyes!. Sometimes, when you sleep, your eyes naturally roll back in your head!. The contacts can burn out your cornea, which would be AWFUL!.

so don't do it unless the contacts are sleeping contacts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You really shouldn't be sleeping with them in even if they are extended wear!. You are cutting down the amount of oxygen reaching your eye by doing this and putting yourself at risk for infection or even ulceration!. It's definately a no no for contact wearers!.
When it is getting close to bedtime, why not take out your contacts then when you are not tired so that you don't forget to take them out!?! Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

it depends on your contacts nowadays they have gotten so good that you only need to take them out about once every week or two!. The serious issue is air getting to your eyes they need the air but if your eyes don't hurt and are not all red and dry then I would say that your contacts are some what newer and it shouldn't be a problemWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is a dangerous habit to get in to!.

You have been lucky so far, and may be lucky more times too!.!.!.but then again!.!.!.maybe you won't be!.

There is always the chance that they will really dry up over night and make your eyes so sore you won't be able to wear them for a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have the extended wear of contacts it is fine to go to sleep with them in!. I don't think if you have regular anything would happen except that the lenses will become very dry in the morning and you need to rewet them or put lubrication drops in your eyes!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would not recommend sleeping with them in, even if they are extended wear lenses!. Oxygen need to get to your eye and plus you could get an infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wear my contacts for a week at a time!. I have since I was 12!. Nothing wrong with it as long as you have the right contacts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do not do this, it can cause an ulser, or your eyes can get dryed up and this can make you not able to wear them for a weekWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, for long term the eye health will become bad!. Just remeber to remove the lenses b4 sleepingWww@Answer-Health@Com

i dnt think theres anything wrong with sleeping with your contacts onWww@Answer-Health@Com
