Does my prescription mean that i need to wear my glasses all the time?!

Question: Does my prescription mean that i need to wear my glasses all the time!?
i need to wear them on the PC if i sit back on my chair!.

it's 2!.50 in the right, and 2!.50 on the left, DISTANCE in both eye!.

I can't see from far away, not sure how many inches, but it's all blurry without glasses, but close up, i can see perfectly, does my prescription mean i have to wear them all the time!? I didn't ask the optimist about it!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You just need to wear them when it feels right!. Rather than squinting at your computer screen with your nose hovering 3 inches away from it I'd wear your glasses!! You'll be able to take them off when you're doing other things though! Once you're used to them it'll be easy to know when you need to wear them and when you done't!. You'll probably notice you need to wear your glasses more as the day goes on and your eyes get tired anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had the opposite problem!. I could see for everything except reading so I got progressive no line bifocals with clear glass except in the lower part where my reading prescription was!. It works great and I'm not constantly taking my glasses on and off when I'm grocery shopping and have to read labels, etc!.

It sounds like you are only able to see well for reading!. In all other situations you can't see well so you should wear your glasses at all times when you are not reading!. If you have the prescription on your lenses everywhere but in the lower part which would be clear, then you could leave them on all the time--much easier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You basically just need to wear them to see what you want to see, if you are okay without them for some things and can see okay without squinting or eyestrain leave them off sometimes!. I'm myopic and have never worn full strength glasses all the time, and I still have clear close vision in my late fifties without the glasses!. I do not want to advise you in an irresponsible way, but really opticians are just there to sell glasses which some people can do without a lot of the time!. You obviously need full correction for things like driving, but if you want to go around your house without your glasses sometimes and do not bump into things, that is your choice, and if you are not straining your eyes it should not do you a lot of harm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the exact same prescription, and I wear mine most of the time, just for convenience!.

But you definitely don't HAVE to wear them all the time!. I don't wear them while reading, cooking, or on the computer; But I do wear them in class, while driving, and when watching TV!. It all really depends on how comfortable you are with your vision :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you can, don't wear them on the computer or reading, but you do need to wear them all the time, you should notice that they help you a lot!. If you wear them for a lot of reading and computer work, your making you eyes work harder to focus up close and it could make your vision worse faster!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when you had your opticians appointment did you not ask the person testing you!?!?!? They will be able to tell you if you call them back!.

I presume the people who gave me the thumbs down think speaking to the optician who carried out the test is the wrong person to speak to!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
