How to put in contacts without blinking my eyes?!

Question: How to put in contacts without blinking my eyes!?
I went to training today and only managed to get the left one in (after many attempts) and i didnt get the right one in at all!. So I have to go back tomorrow (which might be my last chance cuz my parents are really against my having contacts!) So how can i keep my eye open long enough to get the contact in without blinking!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, it's very difficult but one day soon it will seem simple!. I managed to do it by tilting your head down, as if you were going to look at your shoes, and at the same time look up as high as possible and stand very close to a mirror!.

This way I couldn't see my finger coming directly at my eye, but you can still see enough to put the lens in!. I find the easiest way is whilst looking up I put the bottom of the contact lens in first so it rests on the inside lip of your lower eye lid that way it seems to stop it falling out when you blink!.

Everybody is different but you will soon find your own technique - as long as you dont give up!. It took me weeks and then one day I could just do it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't despair! It takes awhile to get the hang of it!. Personally I place the contact on my pointer finger, then I hold down my bottom lid with my middle finger of the same hand, with the other hand I hold my top lid open with my first two fingers!. Hope this makes sense!. I don't like to use a mirror to put mine in so I place the contact on the white of my eye, then I let go of my lids and blink which floats the contact onto your cornea!. Don't get too frustruated!.!.!.it takes awhile and it's even harder to do with disposibles as they are thinner!. Remeber your blinking is your body's natural response to something coming at your eye! It will take awhile to get used to not blinking! Good luck!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You'll want to really pin down your lids with your free hand as you bring the lens to your eye!. Pressing the lashes and base of the upper lid against the upper edge of your eye socket can keep it pinned there, so even if you try to blink it won't move!. Do the same for your lower lid and you'll be all set!. You really don't have to press on your lids very hard to hold them there; it's all about the position!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hello!
well, i'm getting my trial pair of contacts tomorrow, and i've been practicing touching the white part of my eye!. that is, of course, with clean hands!.

i would suggest you do something like that, because it'll help you not be as scared as touching your eye!.
and it does not hurt to touch your eye!.

and i've heard, that, you can even put your contact on the white part of your eye, and it'll blink into place!.

so, as for now: just try touching the white part of your eye, and if you get used to it, you should be able to put contacts in!.

good luckk!Www@Answer-Health@Com
