It should be possible for you to get contact lenses to suit your need!. I have a very severe astigmatism in both eyes as well as being very short sighted and have been wearing lenses for 20 years!. There are special lenses suitable for astigmatisms called 'toric'!. This means they sit on your eye a certain way to counteract the problem!. Soft lenses are the best option and you can even get disposable ones that are toric - they are usually a little more expensive!.
