Question: Do I need to spend $$$ on prescription glasses!?
I got my exam today, MD said I was farsighted (-!.075 each side)!. Of course he recommended Crizal lenses so it'll probably cost me about $200 for 1 set of glasses (frames & lens)!. I told him to wait until next week!. I actually wanted to see if I could just use reading glasses that you get at the drugstore (of course he said no, they wouldn't be adequate)!. It just seems to me that -!.075 is a very miniscul deficit to spend $200 on, and that's not including the $50 I already spent for the exam!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Over the counter glasses only come in + powers, your prescription is a - prescription, meaning you can't see far away, so the over the counter glasses will not work!.
You have options you can have on your glasses, crizal is one of them, it's a brand name of an anti reflective coating, you don't have to get it!. Try ordering a pair without the coating, then if you notice your having trouble driving at night, you can order the coating next time you get glasses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can go to any store that sells reading glasses and try some of them on to see for yourself if they help you in being able to read the printing of a magazine or book!. They come in different degrees of magnification, and if you are truly far-sighted that's to your advantage for driving; unless you also have blurred vision problems!.

The good thing about glasses is that they last a long time!. Unlike contacts!. So i would honesty spend the $200 if i were you because in the long run you would be spending more in the future because your eyes would get worse if left untreated!. I have glasses and am legally blind without glasses!. I chose to go with glasses because my eyes are so bad!. but in the long run i would go with glasses!.

try walmart they have a large selection to choose from and some frames are only like 20 bucks plus they have a cheap insurence plan and will replace your glasses free of charge i used to get a new pair almost every month and usally u can get the works for about 120 bucks thats with insurence,frame,and lensWww@Answer-Health@Com
$200 seems pretty cheap to me!. I have Crizal lenses and they are AwESOME!.!.!.they do not get scratches and they're really easy to keep clean!. I say it's worth the money, because your eyes are so important!. Having good vision gives you quality of life too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
look around on the internet!. i got glasses 2 years ago and went though the same thing, but when you had your appoinment they give you your size for your glasses and what perscription you should have!. then you go online and look around and save money, i saved like 300 bucksWww@Answer-Health@Com

$200 is a god price for glasses!. Go to a Lens Crafter/ Walmart, Costco, BJ's, almost anywhere and get prices from them!. You just need to have your eye perscription with you = your eye doctor will give you that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Get prescription from your doctor and try Costco or other places that have eye glasses promotion (on sale), you might not have to spend so much!.
