Choosing my first frames - Should my ethnicity be a factor?!

Question: Choosing my first frames - Should my ethnicity be a factor!?
I've just been informed by an optician, that I am near sighted (or whatever the term is when you can't see far stuff clearly), and I was wondering if having a wider, larger nose, and typically "black" features should factor into aesthetically pleasing frame choices!?

It might just be me, but all of the frames I have seen seem to be good looking on typically caucasian features!. I seem to have a heart/oval shaped face - what should I go for!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, if you like me with little to no bridge, I would stay away from plastic frames!. Since they don't have nose pads that can be adjusted!. Anything rectangular will look good, NOTHING ROUND, unless your trying to look like a dork!. You just have to take a female friend with you to pick out some frames just to get an outsiders opinion on the frames you like!. But in the end its your choice, because it will be on your face for the next year!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

no your right black people typically have larger bridges and most glasses are built for people with smaller bridges!. however you can find a pair that fit well cause i did!. i did know this until a black opthamologist told me!. i always wear plastic frames but know that you can easily adjust metal frames more easily to fit your needs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sort of - in that regardless of ethnicity, you want glasses that suit your face and features!. The bridge of the nose can be quite tricky to get glasses that sit well!. Otherwise, with your shape of face, both angular and round shapes may suit you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it took me over an hour to find my perfect frames!.

ethnicity should only be a factor in the color of your frames!.

just keep trying on frames until you are satisfied!.

black people wear glasses too, so you're bound to find a pair

Just get rimless glasses, therefore there is no frame just the bridge holding the two frames together and they are barely noticable, although these designs do cost a little more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its just you! Just try on different ones and see what works with your facial frame!Www@Answer-Health@Com
