Can I wear contact lenses on the plane?!
Question: Can I wear contact lenses on the plane!?
In a week, I'll be flying from Australia back to Vietnam!. The flight would be around 8-9 hours!. I want to wear my contact lenses that time!. Can I bring my re-wetting drops onto the plane!? Its like only 15ml and I used half of it already!.
I'm going to put my solutions inside my check-in bag though!. Is it advisable that I wear contact lenses during the flight!?
Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
In general yes, but there are three reasons why some people, sometimes, would be better off not doing so!.
Lower oxygen supply: Aircraft are not pressurised to sea-level, and the reduced oxygen does tend to reduce comfortable wearing times!.
Low humidity: the relatively dry air in aircraft does tend to exacerbate any tendency to dry-eye discomfort!.
The desire to sleep: unless they are designed for it, wearing contacts is a bad idea if you might want to sleep during the flight!.
I wouldn't recommend inserting or removing contacts mid-flight: it's not the most sterile of environments!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh totally!!! except you might want to bring your glasses too, if you fall asleep because it is never ever good to fall asleep with contacts on!. i always wear contacts on the plane and never have a problem!. I am not sure about the 15 ml, but just to be sure i would put it in a travel size bottle!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think you should! Even though you have re-wetting drops, I think it would be easier, and more comfortable for you without your contacts constantly drying out!. What about glasses!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
There shouldn't be any problem with that!. Have a safe flight!.
You should be fine taking the drops on the plane, also, but the US at least doesn't allow most liquids anymore, last I heard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
